CARE Iraq is implementing a project to strengthen the Women’s Rights Movements on the Women, Peace and Security agenda in three fragile contexts including Iraq. The intended outcome of this initiative is enabling the Women’s Rights Organizations and excluded groups of women and girls to use their strengthened strategies, capacities and improved networks to collectively organize, participate and influence in informal (civil society-led) and formal (government-led) decision-making spaces on the WPS agenda at the local, national, and multi-country levels.
CARE Iraq is working with the local NGOs Women Empowerment Organisation (WEO), Better World Organization (BWO), and Baghdad Women Association (BWA) who are committed to women’s equality and empowerment.

Country: Iraq

City-Country: Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Halabja Diyala, Anbar, Ninawa, Salah-al-Din, and Kirkuk
