Promoting gender equality, resiliance and social cohesion in Iraq
Oxfam in Iraq has implemented project titled “Promoting Gender Equality, Resilience and Social Cohesion in Iraq” in Ninewa governorate from October 01, 2020, to September 30, 2022. Oxfam worked with local partners namely Al-Ghad and SEWAN for implementation of project activities.
The project objectives are to Promote promote economic resilience, gender equality, and social cohesion through increased livelihood opportunities for women in the agricultural sector in Ninewa Governate. Primary outcomes include:
• Women’s economic empowerment is strengthened in target communities through improved access to safe and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
• Increased social cohesion in target communities through increased opportunities for women focused community engagement.
