Introduction to the Course

Sustainable fundraising is essential for NGO resilience and strategic growth. This 3-day intensive training equips NGO leaders, proposal writers, programme and finance staff with a practical and systematic approach to developing a robust fundraising strategy that aligns with organisational mission and vision, strengthens institutional capacity, and enhances proposal success rates. By integrating strategic planning with donor mapping, policy readiness, and proposal writing practices, participants will leave with concrete tools and templates ready to apply in their organisations.

Training Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

– Define and align organisational mission and fundraising priorities.
– Conduct organisational capacity gap assessments for fundraising.
– Map relevant donors and funding opportunities that match mission and strategy.
– Develop internal systems, policies, and compliance frameworks required for fundraising.
– Prepare strong concept notes and full proposals with competitive budgets.
– Establish a fundraising process, funding pipeline, and review mechanisms for periodic strategy renewal.
