Phil Thorpe is an international protection specialist and humanitarian strategist with over 20 years of hands-on experience designing durable solutions for displaced populations. He has worked with UNHCR, IOM, and national governments across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to develop and implement resettlement, integration, and return frameworks. Phil brings deep expertise in operationalizing the Global Compact on Refugees and crafting community-based resettlement programs. His work has supported pathways for unaccompanied minors, survivors of torture, and climate-displaced populations. Known for his interactive training style and policy-grounded approach, Phil equips participants with the real-world tools and strategies needed to tackle complex displacement challenges with clarity, innovation, and compassion.
